Sandy Gilbertson earned her master's in nursing from Northeastern University in Boston, Mass. and doctorate of nursing from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala. "I appreciate the challenge of figuring out a tough case, but I also like the idea of keeping children healthy by helping them make positive lifestyle choices, like eating well and exercising regularly, " says Sandy. "If I could start my career all over again, I wouldn't do anything differently." Sandy treats a variety of conditions, mostly focusing on children, such as childhood obesity, ear infections, colds, allergies and behavioral health concerns. She routinely gives immunizations, performs ear wax and wart removals, suture and staple removals and wound care.
