  I have been practicing law since 1981 when I was graduated from the University of Texas at Austin Law School magna cum laude. I immediately started working in law firms in the Kansas City area where I was born and raised. I spent a year at a big downtown firm that no longer exists where I got my first taste of general practice focusing on bankruptcy, family law and estate planning. I then moved to Hyatt Legal Services for 6 years where I was fortunate to be able to fully develop my courtroom skills working for clients in bankruptcy, family law and estate planning. I decided to try a smaller firm and was fortunate enough to join a smaller firm for 5 years where I learned that my true passion was providing services to everyday people who had gotten themselves into a bit of a pickle. In 1993 I joined the firm that eventually became Ford and Cooper, PC, where I was fortunate to have a lengthy and successful career with my partner, Ed, until 2020 Ed decided it was time to retire. Throughout my career I have represented clients in bankruptcy, family law, estate planning, criminal court, traffic court, municipal court, juvenile court, and general practice areas. When Anne asked me to join the Kiske Law Office Team, I couldn’t refuse. After almost 40 years of helping people obtain bankruptcy relief from the Bankruptcy Court, I am now considered a “Debt Relief Agency”. I am excited that I will continue to have the privilege of representing everyday clients in the bankruptcy proceedings, criminal matter, driving while intoxicated cases, and traffic cases.
